Bridlington tourist destinations triumph at REYTAs

TOURIST destinations in Bridlington have been celebrating after being honoured at last night’s Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs).
The Spa Bridlington scooped the Remarkable Business Tourism Award and High Barn Cottages, at Bempton won the Remarkable Sustainable Tourism Award.
Vanilla Ice Cream Parlour, in Bridlington was highly commended in the Remarkable Cuppa category.
Overall there were 12 winners at last night’s black tie ceremony, held at the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel, Willerby chosen from 77 finalists.
Dubbed Hull and East Yorkshire’s tourism ‘Oscars’ the highly sought after awards, organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), are designed to showcase the best tourist destinations and attractions the region has to offer.
Andy Gray, VHEY’S tourism manager described it as a “remarkable event to celebrate a remarkable industry which contributes some £600 million annually to the local economy and supports 15,000 jobs across Hull and East Yorkshire.”
