Bridlington singer Shirley's inspiration comes straight from the nudist beach!
BRIDLINGTON songstress Shirley Higton will be taking to the airwaves to showcase a new song inspired by the nudists on Fraisthorpe Beach.
The singer/songwriter has been invited to perform on the Late Show with Shourjo Sarkar at Radio Leeds on Tuesday March 2.
The show begins at 10pm and Shirley will be on air from about 10.30pm for roughly an hour.
Shirley said she is looking forward to broadcasting her nudity-inspired song to the people of Yorkshire.
"On my last visit one of the songs I performed dealt with the problems with wheel clamping firms and it created a lot of interest," she said.
"On this occasion as summer is on the horizon I will be using the theme of nudity.
"As we know the Fraisthorpe beach issue has been an on-going debate and as the warmer weather approaches I'm sure the topic will rise again. 'To bare or not to bare' that is the question!"
The show is based in Leeds but it is also broadcast in York, Humberside and Sheffield.
For the Bridlington area you can tune in on Radio Humberside 95.9fm and the show can also be listened to on-line.
