There were tears of joy and happiness when Bridlington’s Quay Academy primary school were crowned national champions of Rock Challenge.

A total of 94 pupils from years three to six put in the performance of their lives to win the primary school’s section at the event held at Grimsby Auditorium last week.

Teacher and Rock Challenge coordinator Beth Marshall said: “If only we could have bottled up the moment and kept it forever! We were speechless and absolutely thrilled to be national champions.”
