Asbo teenager banned from schools, shops and colleges in Bridlington
A TEENAGER has been banned from entering both secondary schools in Bridlington as well as several shops in the town after being made the subject of an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO).
Joshua Paul Ingham, 16, was given the ASBO, which runs for two years, by magistrates sitting in Bridlington after he was convicted of being drunk and disorderly in a public place, causing a nuisance or disturbance on school premises and dangerous cycling.
The Crown Prosecution Service applied for the order, which was imposed on January 24, on the instructions of Humberside Police following the conviction.
The order will remain in place until January 24, 2015 and if Ingham breaches any of its terms he could be imprisoned for up to two years or fined up to £2,000.
Under the terms of the ASBO Ingham is banned from entering Headlands School, Bridlington School and Sports College and East Riding College, on St Mary’s Walk as well as several shops including Bridlington’s Tesco store.
Under the order Ingham is prohibited from engaging or encouraging others to engage in any behaviour that causes or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one of more persons not of the same household as himself anywhere in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
He must not engage or encourage others to engage in any behaviour that is likely to be threatening, abusive, disruptive or insulting to others not of the same household as himself, anywhere in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Ingham is also prohibited from entering the following premises in Bridlington: 37 Milner Road; Bridlington School and Sports College, Bessingby Road; Activ First, on Bessingby Industrial Estate; Headlands School, Sewerby Road; East Riding College, St Mary’s Walk; Tesco Stores Ltd, Station Approach; Old Town Stores, 96 High Street; and Costcutter Supermarket, 53 West Street.
The terms of the order includes the car parks and immediate surrounding area of all of the above premises or remaining in them after being asked to leave by the manager, owner or anyone acting on their behalf.
He must not stay in a group of two or more people in any public place within the boundary of Bridlington Town Council where the behaviour of that group or any individuals within the group engages in behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to anyone not of the same household as themselves.
Ingham must also not be with, either together or individually, three persons named on the order in any public place within the boundary of Bridlington Town Council.
The three persons cannot be named by the Free Press for legal reasons.
Any breaches of the order can be reported to Humberside Police by calling 101.
