The fundraising continues for the newly christened Rix Pavilion project at the Driffield Showground.

Funds have now been raised for phase 1 of the development, with efforts now targeted at raising the funds for phase 2; the creation of a new toilet and shower block.

show director David Tite said: “With money still to raise we are working hard to gain the remaining funding required to complete this ambitious and exciting project, with the new facilities complete the Showground will be able to offer contemporary facilities suitable for attracting new events to the region.”

With their fundraising efforts in mind the Society have launched their New Build Grand Draw – one lucky person will win the show bundle of a brand new iPhone 5C, a Samsung Tab 3 Tablet and a Sony 32” flat screen television.

All the prizes have been donated to the Society who has expressed it’s sincere gratitude to O2, TVC Electrical of Malton and DBFB Communications.

Mr Tite added: “It’s great that both national and local businesses have got behind the project and provided these great prizes, it’s really exciting to be able to launch a fundraising project that everyone can get involved in and that gives everyone participating the opportunity to win a superb prize bundle.”

Grand Draw tickets are available from the Society Office, Dee, Atkinson and Harrison on Exchange Street, Driffield Cobblers on Middle Street South in Driffield and also on the day from one of the Grand Draw booths spread around the showground.

Tickets are only £1 each and the winner will be drawn at the end of the Show in the Main Ring.

Good Luck!
