East Riding Planning Committee has just approved the council’s planning application to build a coach park at Limekiln Lane, one of the few remaining beautiful unspoilt areas of Bridlington.
This is to spend £1,000,000 to readapt the car park to house a handful of empty coaches that daily visit the town.
Most of these coaches enter from the south side.
The plan is for them to drop off their passengers at the harbour top than traverse across Bridlington to the north side.
Later in the day they will make the return journey at a time when it will cause the utmost traffic congestion.
This idea was thought up by a person, and approved by councillors, who do not live in Bridlington and have no understanding of the chaos it will create, in my view.
