Work is still taking place along Hilderthorpe Road as part of the council's regeneration project.

In reply to the comments made by Mr Richard Bond in the article on ‘Brid-Locked:

His comments are only correct in one aspect, ie regeneration works must be done.

But he does not have to listen to complaints from visitors.

Regarding poor directions and absolute chaos in the town centre.

Many who are regular visitors to stay in Bridlington and are used to travelling their usual way, and who cannot understand why this work is being carried out in high season.

After 37 years trading in this town, I have never had to endure such total disruption as we currently have in the town centre.

As work was already planned to be carried out in quiet months and most businesses are dreading the closure of Hilderthorpe Road in the near future the town is already stretched to breaking point.
