The Tour de Yorkshire is still a rosy glow over Bridlington but it was the Tour de King Street which put some colour in the cheeks of a team of cyclists from a town centre legal firm.

Staff at Murray Hills got on a pair of exercise bikes outside their King Street office for their own seven-and-a-half hour fundraising marathon to raise £2,401 for two charities.

“It is the first time we have done anything like this and it is a wonderful result. We just want to thank everyone who supported us including the many local businesses and individuals who gave us donations,” said Emma Long of Murray Hills.

Bridlington RNLI will receive £1,901.19 and the Cash for Kids charity £500.
