THEATRE-GOERS are under starters orders for Ladies Day, a new play coming to the Spotlight Theatre next week.
The comedy, written by Amanda Whittington and directed by Pamela Dalley, takes the real-life story of the races being moved from Ascot to York in 2005, and combine it with the story of four fish factory workers from Hull taking advantage of Ladies Day.
The foursome ditch work, dress up and head off the races for a drink, a flirt and a flutter.
Featuring actors Graham Beeston, Bob Downing, Liz Edwards, Helen Nichols, Betty Raywood, Richard Stiles and Julie Taylor - Ladies Day runs from Tuesday November 6 to Saturday November 10 at the Spotlight on West Street.
Curtain up is at 7.30pm and tickets are £7.50 and available from Bridlington Blinds and Curtains, top of Bridge Street, or from 601006.
So get you fancy hats and fascinators out for Ladies Day and head down to the Spotlight - there’s a prize each night for the best hat, male or female.
