A Bridlington woman celebrated her 100th birthday last week with family and friends.
Kathleen Wray, of Newstead Crescent, reached the landmark age last Thursday and says the secret to living a long life is hard work and eating good food.
Kathleen, a former teaching assistant, has lived in Bridlington for almost 10 years.
She has three sons Terry, 73, Peter, 70, and Tony, 67, and enjoys listening to talking books.
Kathleen’s son Peter said: “She’s worked hard all her life and still likes to keep busy, she’s from what we call the old school.
“I said to her – I bet you didn’t think you’d live to see three sons retire?”
