"He orders things offline and chemicals and plays with the, in his back garden shed.

"These used to be the occasional boom and smoke - I just thought he was doing alchemy!

"Him and his wife have been our neighbours for seven to eight years.

Becca, 21, who has lived opposite the arrested man for two years, added: "He was arrested at around 9am. I was cooking at the time and sorting the kids out.

"It was quite scary. I didn't know what was happening - all the police and that.

"All I managed to grab were nappies.

"He used to stay up late at night - the house was always lit up.
