A NEW music store in Bridlington has given away a raft of musical equipment worth hundreds of pounds, after a raffle held at their Grand Opening event.

Boogie Woogies, on Hilderthorpe Road, opened in April and offers a wide selection of instruments and music accessories.

The 1st prize winner in the raffle, which was drawn by Wayne Parry, who works in the advertising department at the Free Press, was Sandra Butterworth from Bridlington, who won a Vintage electric guitar and gig bag.

Second prize was won by Richard Hoskison, also of Bridlington, who won a Tanglewood acoustic guitar.

Billy Nielson, from Scarborough, scooped a Tanglewood ukelele as third prize and Brenda Brice, who was visiting from Leeds, won the fourth prize of Spongebob Squarepants egg shakers.
