Police are appealing to a hit and run driver to come forward after a 15-year-old girl was rushed to hospital.

The girl received treatment for non life-threatening injuries at Scarborough Hospital, after she was struck by a black car on a Bridlington street.

A police spokesman said: “On 28 December at 6pm Humberside Police were called following a collision between a car and a girl on Quay Road in Bridlington. The car, a black saloon car, had left the scene without stopping.

“The girl was taken to Scarborough hospital where she was treated for injuries which are not life-threatening.”
