Vocalists from a Bridlington singing course entertained friends, family and commuters with a concert at the railway station last Tuesday, November 29.
Talented performers from the Singing Around the World singing course put on an entertaining half hour show on the station forecourt, singing a varied repertoire of songs.
The group sang African and German songs, Christmas carols and popular tunes such as Perfect Day and Blue Moon, often sung in an acapella style.
Course tutor Charles Huckvale said: “It all went very well, we had good acoustics and there was a nice atmosphere.
“If you do an art course it’s easy to show friends and relatives your work, when you sing in a group it’s only through events like these that people know what you are doing.”
The course is run by the Workers Education Association, the largest voluntary sector provider of adult education in Britain, who provide learning opportunities for over 80,000 people each year.
Course organisers are keen for more people to get involved so the group can create a fuller sound .
The course, which currently has about 15 members, runs every week on a Tuesday morning between 10 and 12 and will begin again on January 10.
Anyone interested in joining the group should call the old parcels office at Bridlington Railway Station on 01262 400000.
