CROWDS of people have shown their support for Bridlington’s Lifeboat crew by turning out for their annual Flag Day.
Saturday’s event, held outside the inshore lifeboat house, on South promenade featured fun for all the family with various stalls and games on the beach including beat the goalkeeper and throwing a lifeboat wellie.
Also on display were the station’s lifeboats Marine Engineer and Windsor Spirit for everyone to have a look at.
Bridlington mayor Coun Michael Charlseworth along with town crier David Hinde also attended the event to meet the Coxswain and crews.
It is not yet known how much the Flag Day raised but Andy Brompton, DLA/LPO of Bridlington Lifeboat hopes they will have raised close to last year’s total of £5,000.
