A BRIDLINGTON pub got into the Hallowe’en spirit by throwing a spooky party for local youngsters.
The Seabirds pub, on Fortyfoot, welcomed around 50 children for the party last week, with a meal, games and a goodie bag on offer for them.
Nigel Edwards, landlord at the Seabirds, said: “All the kids had a great time and it was very well attended.
“It took us about eight hours and we spent about £1,000 doing the pub up, but it was worth it. We have a family atmosphere in the pub, we have eight kids so we are a big family ourselves, it is somewhere for families to come and bring their children along.
“We are doing Christmas parties and a New Year’s Eve party as well. We are having two at Christmas because we had to turn kids away at Hallowe’en. The tickets sell out within a few days of going on offer.”
The pub will hold their Christmas parties on December 22 and 23, and they will also host a Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday, November 25.
