Four people had to be taken to hospital after a car crash on Kingsgate, in Bridlington last Friday evening (April 19).

The crash, involving a blue Ford Focus and a black Ford Mondeo, happened at around 5pm. Two fire crews from Bridlington were on the scene for 45 minutes and had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to release a female from one of the cars. Three casualties were taken to Scarborough Hospital and a fourth was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said that none of the casualties were said to have been suffering life threatening injuries. The road was closed for a short time to allow officers to examine the scene and recover the vehicles.
