POLICE have named the woman who died after falling from a flat on Bridlington’s sea front.
Debra Mitchell, 48-year-old mum of three, died after falling 30 feet from a flat above the Marina Cafe in South Marine Drive on Monday night.
She was originally from Liversedge in West Yorkshire and had only lived in Bridlington since November last year.
A 36-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
A post mortem examination on Tuesday revealed she died from injuries she received consistent with a fall and police say her death continues to be treated as unexplained.
In a statement released today Debra’s family said: “Debbie Mitchell has lived and worked most of her life in the Liversedge area of West Yorkshire. She is survived by her three daughters and her mother.
“This is a very sad time for all those who knew and loved Debbie especially her children and mum. The support has been overwhelming and we would like to thank all of those who have passed their kind words and tributes on.
“However we would request that people acknowledge the difficult time that the loved ones are going through and respect our privacy.
“Humberside Police is working on the investigation and with the family and we would respectfully ask that any requests for information are passed via them.”
