The fame of Flamborough Head may grow just a little bit more this evening, as it features in the finale of a popular prime time television show.
The famous location is the scene of the final episode of series three of Scott and Bailey, which is broadcast this evening at 9pm on ITV.
Without giving too much away for fans of the show, the episode reveals the detective’s friendship in tatters, with the lack of communication between Rachel and Janet is making even the simplest of tasks difficult.
It takes a call about Gill’s possible abduction to reunite them as a team and the duo soon have Gill’s car in their sights and identify the kidnapper - heading to a familiar location. It is believed Flamborough Head will feature as a supposed suicide spot in the show.
Producers chose the popular destination, which features visitor favourite Flamborough Lighthouse, as the location for filming scenes for the final episode in March.
The show features the formidable crime fighting duo DC Rachel Bailey, played by Suranne Jones, with Lesley Sharp as DC Janet Scott.
Throughout the day of filming David Gould, of the Headlands Restaurant, catered for the film crew and actors.
