THE Katie Walker Cancer Trust will be holding another special fund-raiser at the Friendly Forester pub this month.
The pub will put on a sponsored fire walk for the charity on Saturday May 4, from 7pm, after the event was cancelled in March due to bad weather.
Paddy Billington of Yorkshire Coast Radio will be at the event.
The money raised goes towards funding international research meetings and helping families in the Yorkshire area with teenagers that are going through treatment for cancer.
The trust was set up in memory of Bridlington woman Katie Walker, who died of cancer aged 20 in 2007, and run by her parents Julie and Mick Walker.
The Friendly Forester has held a series of events for the charity, and has raised close to £10,000 so far.
There are still places available for anyone wishing to take part in the fire walk. Sponsor forms are available from landlord Paul Toward at the pub.
