Fire fighters in Bridlington will not strike on Saturday after the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) decided to postpone industrial action in England and Wales.
The decision comes following discussions which have taken place over the past two days between the FBU and CLG officials and representatives of the Fire and Rescue Service National Employers in England.
Although no agreement has yet been made discussions are continuing.
Chief Fire Officer Richard Hannigan said: “We are pleased that the strike action has been postponed and that dialogue is continuing and we hope there will be an agreement to end this dispute. While we will be working as normal now on Saturday evening we would still urge people to take extra care and stay safe.”
