THERE is some good news on the horizon for frustrated local job-hunters as national care company Caremark has announced it is creating 50 new jobs in Bridlington.

Caremark is East Yorkshire’s fastest growing care company and is recruiting a total of 350 more staff to help meet demand for its services.

Caremark (East Riding) has already taken on 100 staff since launching six months ago and is now seeking applications for 350 more, including 50 from Bridlington.

The company provides a range of home-based personal care and support services to older people and also to people of all ages with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or terminal illnesses.

It covers the whole of the East Riding and as well as looking for staff in Bridlington, it is also recruiting in Hull, Driffield and Hornsea among other areas.

Caremark (East Riding) Director Karen Precious said: “Demand for our services has been unprecedented and our growth rate is among the fastest in the country.

“We provide high standards of care designed to meet individual needs at highly competitive prices and this is generating exceptional demand from customers.

“Bridlington is a particularly busy centre for us as so many older people have chosen to retire in the town.

“We urgently need more staff to meet this demand and we are offering attractive rates of pay to candidates of the right calibre. We provide full training so experience is not critical but being a caring and considerate person is.”

Caremark, which has been accredited as a preferred supplier by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, provides services such as helping with washing and dressing, to assistance with shopping, preparing light meals, domestic duties and companionship.

Mrs Precious added: “We are working with local Jobcentres to help recruit staff and we will be attending a major jobs fair in Hull on February 23.

“People interested in working with us can contact us at their local Jobcentre or direct on 01482 579579.”

Caremark is a national organisation which cares for thousands of people across the UK and its East Yorkshire franchise is based at Hessle.
