Police arrested three men during the demolition and removal of a protest camp set up by environmental campaigners at Crawberry Hill, Walkington.
Officers had been called in to keep the peace after East Riding of Yorkshire Council sent in a team of bailiffs to remove timber buildings, caravans and tents from a highway verge.
The media were not allowed a vantage point to photograph the levelling of structures at Crawberry Hill.
Reporters and photographers were instead instructed to meet with council officials at the Old Police Stables near Walkington, however campaigners at the site used mobile phones to film the drama.
