A FLOOD alert issued yesterday afternoon for Bridlington’s South Pier has been withdrawn.
The Environment Agency have confirmed this morning that the flood warning, which was issued during yesterday’s high tide from 3pm to 5.30pm, is now no-longer in place.
But as the wet weather continues other flood warnings have been issued for areas of the North East coast.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for Marine and Royal Albert Drive, in Scarborough as wind and wave conditions are forecast to cause spray and overtopping during this afternoon’s high tide and in the early hours of tomorrow.
These conditions are forecast for the high tide between 3.30pm and 6.45pm today and again from 3.45am and 6.45am tomorrow (August 31).
