A team of lucky Bridlington School French students have won a dream trip to Disneyland Paris.
Friends Archie Lambert, 11, James Johnson, 12 and Oliver Wardle, 12 were stunned to find out they had scooped the prize after entering a competition, run in conjunction with Eurostar.
The boys had to create a story book based on a magic train, written in both English and French.
“They were really shocked, we told them in assembly and they had a bit of a crazy moment,” said Toni Stephenson, class teacher at the school.
Although the date for the trip has not yet been set, the winning trio will travel by Eurostar to the resort, accompanied by a parent.
Toni said: “I feel really proud of them. The fact that they have got the confidence to enter competitions like this is really great.
Groups from two Year 7 classes at Bridlington School entered the competition, however Archie, James and Oliver’s classmates were pleased to hear of their success.
“I think learning a language just totally broadens their horizons and it opens doors for them,” added Toni.
