HAPPY, safe and hard-working are just some of the positive comments made about Flamborough School in its Ofsted report.
Inspectors visited the school over two days at the end of March, observing lessons, interviewing children, staff, parents and governors and looking at children’s work.
The school was found to be “good” in every area, including safeguarding, attainment and progress.
The report said: “This is a good school, which provides well for its pupils. It is a happy school, where pupils feel safe.
“By the time they leave Year 6, they are caring and independent young people and well prepared for the next stage in their education.”
“Effective teaching and improvements in both provision and attainment are being driven by the good leadership of the recently-appointed headteacher and the hard-working and committed staff team.”
Headteacher Donna Tandy said: “We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of the inspection, which provides an accurate picture of the hard work and caring nature of everybody involved.
“The children were fantastic ambassadors for the school during the inspection, and the whole school community feels proud of our achievements.”
