A MASON left Bridlington Lifeboat a parting gift as he finished his time in office as the Master of Pontefract Masonic lodge.
Keen RNLI supporter Ken Taylor and his wife Jean enjoyed a tour around the boathouse station in Bridlington before handing over a £250 cheque to coxswain Stewart McKie.
Ken had been very active during his time as Master in raising monies for a number of his chosen charities.
Being an ex-maritime man himself and knowing that the RNLI have always been there to assist in his own experience at sea, he had great pleasure in presenting Bridlington lifeboat station with the money.
He said: “I have the greatest respect and admiration for the crews of all RNLI stations who selflessly donate their time to ensuring this life-saving institution continues.”
