Bridlington residents will have the chance to have their collectables valued free of charge by a national auctioneers.

Warwick and Warwick Ltd have been trading for more than 50 years and specialise in coins, bank notes, stamps, medals, militaria, postcards, cigarette cards, die cast toys and model railways.

They will be conducting a valuation day at the Expanse Hotel in Bridlington on Tuesday 13 January from 9am-1pm.

The public are invited to come along to the hotel to meet Warwick and Warwick’s company representative and discuss the possible sale of their collectables.

Coin collections and medal groups are also fetching high prices at present, especially those made of gold, the value of which has rocketed in recent months.

A World War 1 Battle of Loos VC action Bridlington hero’s Distinguished Conduct Medal group was sold in a recent auction for £2875.

The auctioneers say that home visits may be possible if the collection is particularly large or difficult to transport.
