A Bridlington dance group has raised £320 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A member of Yorkshire Air Ambulance came to collect the cheque last Wednesday at the group’s weekly meeting at the Resource Centre on Victoria Road.
The group raised the money through a charity dance and raffle on Wednesday November 23, and also collected donations from members.
The Wednesday Ladies Dance Group has helped a number of charities in the three years since it first started, raising over £3,000 for various good causes.
Peggy Wadsworth who organises the group said: “We saw the Air Ambulance on the TV and thought it would be good to have an event for them.
“We are planning to help them again in the summer.”
The group, all of whom are over 70 are eager for more people to come along and have a dance and anyone interested should come to the Resource Centre between 1.30 and 3.30 on a Wednesday afternoon.
