The wait is finally over after all the votes have been collected and counted to reveal the winner of the Bridlington Free Press Cute Kids 2014 competition.
The winner of the competition is 10-month-old Kyana after collecting the most votes from readers of the Free Press.
Kyana beat off the other 66 entrants to the competition to win the award as well as a family annual pass for 2015 to Flamingo Land Resort.
Kyana’s mother, Emma Irving, said: “I am absolutely made up that Kyana was won the competition out of all those other cute kids.
“I had hope that she would win in the back of my mind but I didn’t expect Kyana to win. I am so proud of her.”
You could say that it was fate Kyana won the competition as she has followed in her mother’s footsteps after Emma won a cute kid competition in her early years for the whole of West Yorkshire.
The 24-year-old full-time mother said: “I would like to thank those who organised the Cute Kid competition in the Free Press and a massive thank-you to those people who have gone out of their way and spent their money voting for Kyana.”
The competition runner-up is Ivy-Ella Reynolds and she has won a family day pass to Flamingo Land for 2015.
Bridlington Free Press promotions and marketing coordinator, Sarah Harrison, said: “Congratulations to winner Kyana Irving and Ivy-Ella Reynolds for finishing first and second respectively in the competition. We hope they enjoy the fantastic prizes.
“A huge thank-you goes out to all those people who entered as well as those who voted and made the competition a great success.”
