A 39-year-old man was assaulted in the early hours of Sunday morning while walking home following a night out in Bridlington.

As the victim was walking along the Esplande outside the Jerome’s Pub at 1.30am on Sunday morning it is alleged two men and a woman assaulted him, resulting in the victim sustaining a black eye and cuts to his face.

It is believed the assault was entirely unprovoked and the two men and woman were strangers to the victim.

The victim reported the assault the following day to the police and we are now appealing for any potential witnesses who were in or near the Jerome’s Pub between 1.30am and 1.45am on Sunday morning (July 19, 2015).

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 101, quoting crime reference number CW/2126361/2015.
