POLICE have appealed for help from the public in trying to trace a man who is wanted after failing to appear at court.

A fail to appear warrant has been issued for Craig Stuart MacDonald, 26, who failed to appear at Bridlington Magistrates last month in connection with alleged assault and public order offences.

Mr MacDonald has failed to make himself available to either the courts or the police despite ongoing enquiries.

His previous address was in the Old Town area of Bridlington and it is believed he is still living in the town.

The warrant has been issued by the Bridlington Magistrates Court for Mr MacDonalds arrest, which means police officers all over England, Wales and Scotland are empowered to arrest him any time of the day and night, wherever he maybe at that time, irrespective of who he is with.

Warrant Supervisor, Mike Milner said: “We do not generally feel that such intrusive methods are always necessary and have given Mr MacDonald many opportunities to surrender himself into police custody at a time which causes him the least embarrassment and inconvenience.

“Mr MacDonald is still invited to hand himself in and will be taken to court at the earliest opportunity, however his warrant issued by the court has been circulated nationwide for his arrest.”

Mr MacDonald or anyone who knows of his current whereabouts should contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
