The two people arrested after a 65-year-old man was found dead in a Bridlington pub are being questioned by murder detectives.
Police attended the Harbour Tavern on Queen Street yesterday (Tuesday January 12) at 11am, after a member of staff found a 65-year-old man had died in one of the toilet cubicles.
Officers attending the scene placed a guard around the pub until a paramedic could pronounce the man dead.
A police spokesman said: “The man’s death is being treated as unexplained following the post-mortem results and two people, a 50 year-old Bridlington woman and a 32-year-old Bridlington man have been arrested and are helping with our enquiries.”
Police have since confirmed the man was arrested on suspicion of murder while the woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and assisting an offender.
