Accident investigators have started a third day of work at the scene of the helicopter crash at Flamborough Head.
Two men were killed when the helicopter crashed into the sea on Tuesday afternoon but attempts to recover the wreckage yesterday were hampered by bad weather.
Conditions are little better this morning but coastguards from Bridlington have been working alongside a team from the Air Accident Investigation Branch.
A statement from the coastguard yesterday said: “We were providing safety cover for the AAIB but due to the bad weather conditions the investigators were unable to get to the crash site.
Police are also involved in the ongoing operation, which is based near to Flamborough Head Golf Club.
A Humberside Police statement said: “Police are working alongside the AAIB and are offering support to the families of the deceased who lost their lives in the incident.
“The identities of those involved can only be confirmed when all necessary information has been gathered and next of kin have been made aware.”
