A police investigation into the murder of Bridlington man Graham White continues today.
The 39-year-old man was found by police at an address in Sewerby Road at 4.25am on Wednesday 27 August suffering with serious injuries. He later died at the scene.
The disturbance was an isolated incident involving two groups of people, which led to the death of Graham White.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Incidents of this nature are very rare in Bridlington and residents are being given appeal letters, with the opportunity to receive reassurance visits from police in the area if they are concerned.
“To reassure the public the local Neighbourhood Policing Team will be carrying out extra patrols and hosting street surgeries in the area.”
Following the incident four men - aged 22, 27, 37 and 47 - were arrested in Seaton near Hornsea on Wednesday 27 August.
Three of these men remain in police custody being questioned in relation to the incident, whilst the fourth - a 47-year-old man - remains in hospital receiving treatment to injuries sustained in the incident.
Police made three further arrests yesterday, Thursday 28 August. The two men, aged 41 and 27, and a 14-year-old boy also remain in police custody being questioned in relation to the disturbance.
Specially trained officers are supporting Mr White’s family.
The team investigating the incident would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or heard the disturbance on Sewerby Road overnight on Tuesday 26 August into the morning of Wednesday 27 August 2014.
