Town assault

A REVELLER was left needing hospital treatment after an assault in Bridlington town centre in the early hours Friday morning.

The 24-year-old Bridlington man was out with a group of friends on April 1, when they were followed from Utopia along the Esplanade and up to Prince Street by a group of eight to 10 men, described as being in their late teens or early twenties.

An argument took place and the 24-year-old was then assaulted by three men outside Starbuys at around 3am.

He was taken to Scarborough Hospital for treatment to facial injuries and cuts, plus bruising to his head and body.
