Pub row assault claims

AN argument in a pub carried on the street and ended up with police seeking witnesses to an alleged assault.

Police say a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman had been arguing with each other in the Viking Public House, Flamborough.

They left the pub around 8.15pm on Thursday July 14 when it is alleged the man grabbed the woman by the hair and pulled her along part of North Marine Road and into some traffic cones.

The couple then left in a car and got out at Constable Road, Flamborough, where it is alleged the man assaulted the woman again by hitting her in the face and pulling her hair.

The woman sustained bruising and swelling to her face.

Detectives investigating the assault are appealing for any witnesses to come forward to help them with their inquiries.
