Police appeal after Bridlington bank robbery

Humberside Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery took place at a bank this morning.

Officers were called to the TSB bank on Manor Street in Bridlington at 9.10 am where it is believed two men wearing masks had threatened four staff members before tying them up and demanding cash as staff prepared to open.

The men then made off in a white Volkswagen Golf, leaving the staff shaken but otherwise unhurt.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “At this time it appears two males have carried out the robbery, threatening staff and tying them up in the process.

“We are treating this incident very seriously and would urge any members of public with information to come forward.”
