Police have issued this image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an alleged robbery of a woman who was walking her dog in Bridlington last Friday afternoon.

The woman visited a cash point before walking along Flamborough Road and into Queensgate Park at around 4.30pm.

At the corner of the park, close to the St Wilfred Road exit she said she noticed a man walking towards her who went on to ask her the time.

As the woman stopped to answer she was allegedly grabbed by her elbows from behind by another man who restrained her to enable the first man to take her purse from her pocket.

Both men then ran off towards Duke’s Park and the Saints estate.

Detective Sergeant Tom Napier said: “The suspects ran off towards St Wilfred Road both dressed in black or dark clothing.

“If anyone knows who this is or saw two men hanging around the park, please contact the police. These men may well have been in the area of Flamborough Road before this robbery.”

Anyone with information should contact police on the non emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number 1969412 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
