Knife threat to hotel worker

POLICE are appealing for information after a man allegedly pulled a knife on a Bridlington hotel worker.

It happened at around 10pm on Saturday, October 8 when the staff member from the Balmoral Hotel, Fort Terrace, entered the basement garage of the hotel and found a man standing near to some waste bins.

The staff member challenged the man and asked him what he was doing.

The man then produced a blade from under his coat and told the staff member to get out of his way, before he left and headed off in the direction of Princess Terrace.

He is described as white, approximately 5ft 6in tall, aged in his late 30s and of a stocky build.

He had mousy brown hair and was wearing a blue and yellow Leeds United scarf, a parker style coat and blue jeans.

Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who may know the identity of the man to come forward to assist with inquiries.
