Hunt for vandals

POLICE are looking for vandals who recently attacked cars parked in Bridlington in two separate incidents.

On February 23 a silver Peugeot 206 was parked on Scarborough Road, opposite Bubbles Car Wash. The following morning dents were found in the car’s roof, as if the car had been walked over or jumped on.

Damage was caused to another car in the early hours of March 2. A yellow Vauxhall Agila parked on St John’s Avenue was attacked with eggs and milk and a rear light was smashed. A large pebble was used to scratch the paintwork: this, together with a Tesco milk carton, was left at the scene and has been retained by crime scene investigators. Reports suggest that the offenders may have left in a small-engined vehicle.

Bridlington Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to hear from anyone who has information about or witnessed either of these crimes: please contact Humberside Police on non-emergency police telephone number 101, quoting crime number CW/1892421/2012 for the Peugeot or CW/1893627/2012 Vauxhall for the Vauxhall.
