A TEENAGE boy has been left with a broken leg following a collision with a moped outside a Bridlington sweet shop.
Now Police have appealed for the driver of the moped to come forward after they rode away without leaving their details.
A black Piaggio 125cc moped was involved in a collision with a 13-year-old boy at around 2.15pm on Saturday, June 9 outside Sweet Delights, on South Cliffe Road.
According to police the rider is believed to have picked up his moped, which had fallen on top of the boy, and rode away without exchanging any details.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Scarborough Hospital where he received treatment for a broken leg.
Police believe the registration number of the moped was YX53 HKH and that it had been sold to somebody in the Hull area a few hours before the collision.
The owner of the moped and anyone who may have witnessed the collision has been asked to call Humberside Police on tel 101 quoting LOG 360 of 09 June 2012.
