John is famous for discovering comedy talent and is credited in the autobiographies of Peter Kay, Dave Spikey, and Jason Manford.

Headlining the first Buzz Comedy night on Thursday November 1, is hilarious raconteur Alfie Moore, recently returned from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a National Tour with his show “I Predicted a Riot”.

Alfie is the only stand-up comedian on the circuit with a background as a serving police officer, and his observational style lends itself to witty and sometimes gritty anecdotes based on modern policing.

Main support act is James Christopher, an affable and upbeat funnyman, who has also returned from an Edinburgh success with his show “Bring me the head of Russell Kane”.

Other comedy acts are Simon D Heaven with his wonderful one-liners, Eddie French, and wheelie-bin enthusiast Johnny F Monotone.

Compere is the legendary Agraman the human anagram with his prolific puns and corny Christmas cracker jokes.
