KEEN cyclist Mike Dyble is using pedal power to cross the width of the country in just three days.
Mike, of Scarsea Way Bempton, is undertaking the epic 200-mile journey from St Bees in Cumbria to Flamborough Head in June to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
He wife, Chloe, is following in the car and said that the couple have been dedicated to raising funds for Macmillan since the death of her mother Elaine in February last year.
Chloe said: “The nurses were so good with my mum, they really helped her, and since then we have put our all into doing what we can for them.
“We did a sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge and we like to do as much as we can for the charity because they did so much for our family.
“Mike’s a very keen cyclist so I’m sure he’ll cope with the distance of the ride - he can cycle for England, but I’ll be staying in the car!”
