VISITORS to a charity coffee morning could get a head start on Christmas shopping at an event held by a ladies group.

The coffee morning was held by the Bridlington Innerwheel Ladies group at the Expanse Hotel, North Marine Drive, on Tuesday November 6.

The proceeds will go towards charities, both in the UK and abroad, chosen by the group at the end of the year.

Chairman of the Bridlington Innerwheel group, Jean Frank, said: “It went very well, unfortunately the weather was a bit wet, but it was very nice.”

Visitors and Innerwheel members enjoyed Christmas gift-stalls, a tombola and cake stalls.

The Inner Wheel movement was originally formed by a group of women who wanted to help with the work of their Rotarian husbands, and is now a worldwide organisation.

The values at their core are friendship and working together to help people in need. A women-only organisation, membership is open to female relatives of Rotarians or former Rotarians, Inner Wheel members and Rotaract.
