Bridlington’s 252 squadron Air Cadets have received a £100 donation as sponsorship for a helicopter pull.

Warrant officer Rob Hill, of the Bridlington squadron, accepted the cheque from William Page, a representative of the Bridlington branch of the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA).

The donation was made because of a sponsored helicopter pull that the Bridlington Air Cadets will take part in at RAF Leconfield in the near future.

Simon Dyer, civilian instructor, said: “Thank you to RAFA for generous support. 252 Squadron Air Cadets meets at the drill hall on Swindon St, Bridlington at 7pm on Monday and Wednesday nights and we are currently looking for new recruits aged 13 or over.

“Cadets can undertake a BTEC qualification, and gain the Duke of Edinburgh bronze, silver and gold awards, as well as learning to shoot and fly.”
