Bridlington’s McDonald’s restaurant has reopened after a digital makeover.

Customers can use one of four self-service kiosks to order their food, and there are tablets for guests to play interactive games at the tables.

The changes have seen 15 new jobs created, taking the number of staff at the branch up to 76.

George Michniewicz, the franchisee who owns and operates 16 restaurants across the region, said: “Having already seen customers reacting positively to these changes in six of my restaurants I am excited to hear what my customers in Bridlington have to say about the new features.

“I’ve been a franchisee for more than 23 years and have seen the McDonald’s experience transform in this time.

“Our restaurants are a great leveller and are able to suit the needs of people from any background who want to come in grab a bite to eat or drink and enjoy the atmosphere these changes have created.

“I am dedicated to invest in Bridlington and in the development of my employees. That’s why I’m improving the crew room to provide them with the same facilities that our customers enjoy and have an area to train and develop to keep improving the service we offer.”
