Businesses can access more help from East Riding of Yorkshire Council services and are invited to meet the teams who work with local companies and small businesses in Bridlington and the surrounding area at Bridlington Business Centre on Friday, 2 May, from 8am to 11am, with light refreshments available.
Council officers from planning, licensing, housing, environmental services, business rates, food services, business advice, procurement and waste management will be on hand to showcase what they can do for businesses and there is also an opportunity to see facilities offered at the business centre, including conference room hire and managed workspace for rent.
Councillor Jane Evison, cabinet portfolio holder for economy, investment and inequalities, said: “The council takes its role as a driver of economic growth in the East Riding very seriously and is keen to do all it can to support local businesses and encourage them to prosper.
“By organising this informal event at Bridlington Business Centre, the council aims to provide an opportunity for local businesses to access practical advice and guidance on what the various services delivered by the authority can do to help them. This is also an opportunity for the council to meet local businesses and get a better understanding of what their needs are.
“A robust local economy is essential for the East Riding and benefits residents by providing employment and training opportunities.”
