EXPERIENCE the festive magic of Burton Agnes Hall this Christmas, lovingly decorated by the Cunliffe-Lister family.
Whilst visiting the Hall, young visitors are encouraged to find the homemade felt snowman dolls that are hidden in each room and are invited to visit Father Christmas by the fireside every Christmas opening weekend in December, from 12pm-4pm, at which every child will receive a special Christmas gift.
When dusk falls, the Hall really comes alive. Visitors are invited to join in a special Twilight evening: full of carols, mulled wine and mince pies in the courtyard, with the Hall and its spectacular decorations lit at night, this evening, Thursday December 1, from 5pm-9pm.
The Hall is overflowing with Christmas activities throughout the month.
Go along to an exhibition on ‘How to decorate your Home at Christmas Time’ on Saturday December 10 with interior design expert Jayne Holland.
Celebrate Christmas through the years on Thursday December 15 at 2pm, with an insightful and fascinating talk on the history of Christmas.
And experience an ‘Audience with Father Christmas’ on Saturday December 10, at 10am and on Saturday December 17, at 5pm. Join Father Christmas by the fireside for songs and storytelling and chat to the man himself, and the visit includes a special gift for every child.
Each audience lasts approximately 30 minutes with an opportunity afterwards for photographs, and tickets are £10 per child, booking is required, so for more information visit www.burtonagnes.com or call 01262 490324.
The Hall is open for Christmas until December 22 from 11am-5pm, and entrance charges are £8 for adults, £7.50 for OAPs and £4 for children from 5-15 years. Under 5 year olds free.
In the courtyard, the cafe is serving a Christmas menu, and there is a new Christmas Shopcompletely dedicated to Christmas. For those seeking the perfect Christmas gift, the home and garden shop and gift shop are stocked with a huge range of Christmas gifts and treats.
