Britain’s Got Talent producers will be coming to Beverley later this month in a bid to find their next star.

Following on from a successful visit last year a series of events are due to be announced as the ITV show sweeps the country looking for talent.

This year sees the show auditions take place at the Armstrong Sports and Social Club on Grovehill Road in Beverley.

A spokesman for the show told the Beverley Guardian: “We’re so excited to announce that the BGT team has decided to come to our club in 2015 for another showcase of talent.

“Last year the success of Calum Scott reaching the final was amazing and for those of you who follow the X-Factor we also have Charli Beard who did her audition here at the club in the 6 Chair Challenge. It shows dreams can come true!”

Hull singer Calum Scott appeared on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent and proved a huge success in his audition with Simon Cowell pressing his golden buzzer to ensure he went straight through to the semi-finals. In the final he finished in sixth place out of 12.

A show spokesperson added: “We will be holding a fantastic night of entertainment in Beverley, but we really need some fresh local talent to not miss out on this huge opportunity and contact us.”

The auditions will take place on Tuesday 20 October at 8pm. Audience members will be allowed in at 6.30pm with seats available on a first come, first served basis including a small entry fee.

Entries will need to be submitted by Wednesday 14 October by calling 01482 882999 or emailing armstrongsbeverley@hotmail.co.uk.
